Sharing some of my favorite beach locations for your San Diego Engagement Photos!

If you’ve been thinking of where to do your engagement session, I’m here to help! I’ve created this San Diego Engagement Photos Locations Guide just for you. I have lived in San Diego my entire life, and I love exploring around here. I’m going to share some of the best beachy San Diego engagement photo locations in this blog.

I prefer shooting in locations that are less crowded, with lots of different elements. For instance, when thinking of a beach engagement session, I will always suggest a beach that offers more than just sand and water. I love cliffs, greenery, epic views, and then some sand and water. I also like easy parking, less crowds, and short walks haha!

1. Carlsbad Cliffs – A beautiful cliff location with greenery, easy access to the beaches, and moss covered rocks. I LOVE this location as an alternative to somewhere crowded like La Jolla Cove or Sunset Cliffs.
2. Carlsbad Trails – I don’t actually know the correct name but these trails are right across the street from the Carlsbad Cliffs and are BEAUTIFUL during the spring months, especially April and May.
3. Torrey Pines Sunset Seat – Just a mile North of Torrey Pines State Park, is Sunset Seat. While Torrey Pines is crowded and involves lots of hiking, Sunset Seat boasts the same views but with easy parking and less walking. Beach access, too.
4. Swamis – A locals favorite – great cliff views and greenery, beautiful reefs at low tide, lots of beautiful textures from the plants and rocks.
