2020 brought a whole lotta things, and one of those things being countless weddings being pushed back due to Covid-19. Hannah and Caleb were not the exception; they had originally planned their wedding for June 2020, but ended up getting married October 18th, 2020.
Just about everything about Hannah and Caleb’s wedding plans changed. The date, venue, timeline, and more. Even though all of the changes, their day turned out beautifully! They ended up getting married at a beautiful, private estate: Villa De La Vine surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Fun Fact – I actually shot Hannah and Caleb’s wedding a week after my best friend passed away. As you can imagine, that week was a little rough, but H + C offered so much love and compassions and it only made me even more excited to be apart of their big day. It was seriously a true testament of how kind and caring they are as a couple AND individually.
Hannah wore a stunning silk gown (I mean, look at it), and Caleb in a classic suit (that complemented Hannah’s outfit perfectly). They had a small and intimate ceremony outdoors, surrounded by greenery and mountains in the distance. I’ve travelled so many places and I swear, SoCal never ceases to amaze me.
Afterwards, we even shot some pretty awesome photos of the happy couple in a nearby vineyard. Villa De La Vine has fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and views of vineyards (a California classic). The photos of Hannah and Caleb here are without a doubt some of my favorites from this wedding! Especially how the sunset had them both glowing?? Golden hour certainly didn’t disappoint for their big day.
You can see their sweet personalities shine though in the vineyard photos especially; these babes were total naturals in front of the camera. Their connection/chemistry was sooo apparent and I was so excited to be able to document it for them.
Their reception and dinner were both STUNNERS. Together with their guests, Hannah and Caleb dined outdoors during sunset. The table was filled with beautiful details including the perfect lighting and flower arrangements handing on a trellis that I WISH I had a backyard for.
I was so thankful to be apart of their day. Even though their wedding had to be put on hold due to Covid, the wait was worth it. I mean, did you see all the beautiful details of their wedding. From the most beautiful venue, vendors, and floral arrangements, H + C killed it and had the wedding of their dreams.
“Let me just start by saying Katie is the absolute best! Her photos are stunningly beautiful and she is a true artist at her craft. I booked Katie for my engagement shoot and wedding and am SO glad I did. Right from the start she made me and my husband feel so comfortable and put us right at ease. Even though both my husband and I are timid/introverted, she still managed to make us comfortable and get us out of our shell. Which is important for photos. Ive worked with many photographers before that just don’t put you at ease and you can see the nervous energy in the photos. I can assure you that you won’t have to worry about that with Katie. My favorite thing about her is the way she gives direction without being too pushy. She knows how to gently guide you and your partner to get the perfect shot. She def knows how to work angles and make the light hit just right.
I had initially booked Katie pre-COVID so everything about my wedding plans changed. From the date, venue, timeline, etc, Katie was so kind and gracious. She worked with me and my wedding planner to make it sure she could be there to capture my special day.!To add to the chaos, Katie lost a close friend a week before the wedding. Yet, she still went above and beyond to reassure me that she would be there. She pushed passed her grief to put me first and if that isn’t passion, then man I don’t know what is…. I could go on and on about how great Katie is but I’ll end with this: If you’re thinking of booking her. DO IT! I promise you, you won’t regret it.”
I got ya! I would love to hear more about your vision for your special day. To fill out my contact form, click here and I’ll get back to you ASAP. In the meantime, you can check out this stunning wedding at La Valencia.
When I say the vendors from this elopement were ah-mazing, I mean it. If you’re located in SoCal, definitely consider reaching out to them!
