Salt Creek Beach is definitely one of my favorite engagement photo locations, for obvious reasons. I was super excited to go with Meagan and Matt to Salt Creek Beach for their engagement session, but before we did that we started with some in-home photos! I love when couples incorporate as much personality as they can into their photos because it makes everything so much more unique and special to the couple.
Meagan and Matt live in Dana Point so that’s where our first stop was, and as you can see there’s no shortage of chemistry with these two. They were actually friends for quite some time before they started dating, so they’ve known each other for yearsssss. I hardly had to give any direction with these two ‘cause they were so freaking in love and their passion for each other was prettyyyyy next level.
After we were done with the in-home photos, we walked down to Salt Creek and the sunset did not disappoint. Salt Creek is basically a huge, open, sandy beach with hardly ANY people around (at least when we were there). Let’s be realllll, that’s every photographer’s dream. When we took these photos, it was late November (hence the Christmas Tree in their house) so the air was crisp but the sun was still so golden. Between the lighting, the beach, and the chemistry between these two, this session was perfect.
Ready for your Salt Creek Beach engagement session?
Or, we can take your engagement photos wherever ya want. I’m always down to help my couples find an engagement photo location somewhere that THEY love just as much as I do. Here’s a session I shot at Carlsbad Cliffs, and one I did at Camp Pendleton if you wanna check them out and get a few ideas.
