Ahhhh! As I sit here and write this, I genuinely miss these humans. Dom & Jeff are from Canada, we linked up on the gram, and Dominique told me about how they were wanting to elope on the beach in Maui in the morning time, and go on a sunset cruise in the evening. This was funny and quite a coincidence because the day she inquired was actually my birthday and I was literally on a sunset cruise… So needless to say, it was meant to be.
We spent a few months getting to know each other and when the morning of December 7, 2019 rolled around and I walked into that Lahaina hotel room, Dominique and I were already bonded. Now don’t get me wrong, I love all my brides, but Dom takes the award for the chillest bride ever. I don’t even know how she was so mellow. After she and her sisters and mom finished getting ready, we headed to a little private beach where Jeff and some of their closest friends awaited. Never having met or spoken to Jeff, he was warm and friendly right from the moment we met. This sweet couple has such a kind and loving temperament, I was so grateful to spend their wedding day with them.
During their ceremony, a rainbow popped up right on the ocean in front of us. You’ll be able to see it below in the photo where Jeff is reading his vows. After they got married, we drove a few miles to get some sweet cliffside shots but of course it was raining and windy and wild so it wasn’t long until we made way back to the hotel. This was honestly my favorite part, because Jeff, Dom, and I just hung out in their hotel room like we were old friends. They took me to lunch and we talked about all things from kids to mental health to men peeing sitting down.. LOL. This portion of the day was honestly just so chill and special and is exactly why I hold such a special place in my heart for this couple.
For sunset, we went on a catamaran cruise, I took a few photos, but mostly we just enjoyed rainbows and the sunset from the ocean and the whole day was so beautiful and perfect.
